These are all the same thing
I want you to start equating all of these in your mind:
- networking (the human kind)
- financial security
- thought leadership
- content creation
"What does this have to do with engineering?" A lot, actually, if you want to have a great career, and the best possible time doing it.
And let's set aside building your technical skills for a moment, which we all agree is important. But I am sure you know it's not the only thing that matters.
And that is where this handy list comes in.
When you read that list carefully, and start thinking of them as facets of the same thing...
You start to see there's an easier way to not just make people more aware of what you are good at, opening new doors to great opportunities...
But also to enrich your own life with deeper connections with more of your peers.
Plus how it expands your own understanding and expertise of whatever you specialize in. That tends to happen when you're engaging with others, rather than trying to lone-wolf your way through it.
Again, the trick is to see each of these not as different things, but facets of the SAME thing:
- networking (the human kind)
- financial security
- thought leadership
- content creation
Every item in this list is taught in the Boosted Code curriculum, in addition to the technical tracks for software development foundations; agentic coding; and system design.
